Each and every year, the city hosts four cultural festivals celebrating Arabic, American, Vietnamese and Korean history and culture. It also presents the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival, which is the biggest community-based Memorial Day event in the United States.

Garden Grove provides a wide variety of educational institutions that have been ranked some of the best and safest within the county. There are a total of 9 junior high schools, 9 high schools, 5 community colleges and 45 elementary schools situated within city limits.
