The boom lift comprises a platform with the capability to be raised and lowered to a given height. This capability makes it an important tool in the hands of people in a diverse range of professions and callings. Here we discuss a few different types of boom lifts and their applications.
Boom lifts come in different forms and shapes, each catering to a specific purpose and functionality. The most common boom lift variant is what is known as the "aerial" lift. It is a common sight at ski lodges where people find it inconvenient to use the conventional ski lift to reach the top of a slope. An aerial lift is more comfortable, as it can levitate people to the exact station where the skier wants to get off. An aerial lift may be seen at construction sites as well, especially where there are multiple levels or storeys, and workers have to get on and off at their desired storey.
